Fred Cox is a musician, songwriter and producer from Coventry. He’s been involved in 3 multiplatinum selling albums, notable including Rag n Bone Man’s debut album in 2017 “HUMAN” which went 3x platinum in the UK alone. His production styles range from soulful inspired, blues and rock music, to alternative R&B and pop, all with live instruments at the forefront. Fred signed to Trevor Horn’s “Perfect Songs” group in 2012, working with multiple major label artists and developing artists, and at the start of 2018 signed a new deal to Universal Music Publishing worldwide.
Primarily a guitarist, Fred also plays drums, keys, and bass, which are his primary tools for producing music. After a move from Coventry in 2010, he set up is his studio in North London where he has collaborated with the likes of James Morrison, Idris Elba, Rag N Bone Man, Tori Kelly, Kasabian, Grace Carter, Mabel, Raye, Anne-Marie, Wretch 32, Lion Babe, Dan Caplen, Mr Hudson and Lily Moore. In the last few years Fred has travelled to work with Janelle Monáe’s team in Atlanta and other projects stateside in LA, New York, and Seattle.
